Easter Fun & More!!

We had a very fun Easter weekend! Ceci has been learning so much and even told us that "Jesus died for us. He had a big big big stone and was in it. Then he was out." She's so precious. She even said it was "Jesus' special day." After a long day of two birthday parties, we went to our church service at 5:30 pm Saturday then served at 7 pm, and on Sunday we went with Mam-ma and Papa to their church, the one Jonathan grew up in. It was a fun yet tiring weekend. Having fun is hard work sometimes!!:)

Best shot we could manage... this was at the church Easter egg hunt Sunday

After snatching up eggs...

Les had a blast even though he stepped in two ant beds... but managed to walk away unharmed.

Say what?? The eggs are all gone. NO.

The Easter bunny made a visit and Ceci got some goodies!!

So did Les...

He left his tracks everywhere!!

Another hunt at school!! School party day! So fun! Les was a ham. He was definitely more aggressive at hunting than his big sis.

Yo! Mom! Where's my basket???! Hurry it up!

Stopping to eat some candy in between eggs...

He seriously dominated. Not just saying that.:)

Les and his best bud Cole

Getting her mind right for the egg race...

And she's off... AND SHE WON!! Look at that focus! Everyone else dropped their egg except for Ceci!

Now the sack race was a different story. We fell on our face a couple times. But she gave it her best!:)

Who's that silly bunny?!?!

Besties!! Berkley, Ceci, Vera & Lucy Kate

The besties again!

Ceci and her school egg hunt.

She was slow and steady.;)

Somebody is a silly bunny!!

They spotted each other on the outside playground at school. Les' teacher snapped this. She said they were so excited to see each other.:):):)

A random ice cream date with Mommy! Girls rule, boys drool.

Rut roh. I can't remember if this ended in pee on the floor. If not this time, several others...

Chillin' and looking like a cutie pie.

My aunt's shop on the Coast had Tim Arnold in to hand-cut silhouettes from black paper. Great job! I love them.

Ceci's teacher Mrs. Heidi is the best at throwing in these braids in under a minute. Now, if only I could learn.

"Hi, baby brother" as Ceci would say... This was after a long, fun bubble bath!

They were being so sweet.

Giving him a big hug

Now taking in some Barney before night, night

Being a ham!

Ceci tackled Les. He actually loved it! Lots of laughter behind this pic.

Birthdays! Mommy took a night away to celebrate Mrs. Joanna turning 30! She's young.;)

Ella's big 0-4!! We love our sweet Ella Bella. This was the cupcake decorating station.

The sweet crew singing happy birthday before they threw confetti in the air.

Another birthday party for Emma Claire. An appearance was made by Queen Elsa!!! She performed "Let It Go" and did the girls' make-up.:) Right now, Frozen and Queen Elsa are the biggest thing going since Walt invented Disney.

Ceci & Queen Elsa

Queen Elsa putting on some blue eyeshadow, pink blush and red lipstick. Whoa!;)

Our sitters out on the town... being good, of course.:) Miss Brooks, Miss Bailey and Miss Mary Kathryn

Miss Mary Kathryn ("KK" or as Les says "Tay Tay") being silly

Someone got a hold of some Burts Bees lip balm WITH TINT! Brown tint.

AND THIS HAPPENED.... Poison.Ivy. and Les don't mix.:( Those pesky sprouts were coming up behind our garage and little man was exploring. Luckily, it didn't spread too much on his leg. Just two large spots. We WILL be taking care of that mess. Not a gardener at heart (duh) but someone pointed out this in our yard. I need to figure out if this was it or the three-leaved nasty next to this. POINT: Les got poison ivy and I need identify and KILL.

Recital Ready!!:) Our very first one!!

More pics to come after the recital!!:) A mouse in Cinderella!!!

THE MEAN, NASTY BUG!!

Cecilia & Les got the mean, nasty bug this week... the nasty, nasty stomach bug. I walked upstairs Wednesday morning to get the kids and the last step upstairs proved to be bad... I got a big whiff of the WORST smell EVER. I was scared to enter Les' room... for good reason. On one side of the crib, he had a big pile of vomit and on the other, diarrhea was beginning to creep up his back onto his sheet. POOR POOR POOR BOY! To my dismay, I remembered him "crying" a couple times the night before. As in, one "mama" or a little moan. I'm telling you, this boy doesn't fuss much. So there's no telling when exactly the disaster occurred, but after bathing him and throwing away his sheet, pajamas and blanket (Mama sometimes just can't deal with it when it gets THAT ugly --- not worth it), he was in good spirits and totally fine the rest of the day. For precautionary measures, I kept both kids home from Mother's Day Out on Wednesday, but we were all good --- so off they went Thursday. Well, come Thursday night around 11 pm, Ceci was coughing a little too hard followed by a loud "Mommy, Daddy!" There was a small mound of vomit in her bed. ((At least the older they get, the more contained they keep their nastiness!)) I got into our tub and sat with her and waited and waited for more vomit (which came), then more, then more... all the way until 3 am. I was just waiting to have a wave of nausea to hit me but never did. Thank goodness because we have gotten some bugs that have made their way through everyone (except Les, this was actually her first time to vomit!).

Even in her state of hopelessness, Cecilia still managed to crack me up.

I was holding her above the toilet (after we messed the tub and couldn't get back in). She said, "Mom, don't let my face get in the water." Then, "Mom, you're not holding me right." I was trying to hold her hair and her body at the same time since she didn't want me to use a hair tie! Mommy was trying her best but it wasn't good enough.:)

This morning we got back up at 4:45 am after going to bed at 3 am, and sweet Les finally started waking up around 7 am, and Ceci wasn't happy. She kept yelling, "Les, go back to sleep little buddy." As if he could hear her through the monitor.

Well, I'm glad I didn't finish this post. I ended up with the bug Saturday then two days later our sitter then two days later Mam-ma! It was brutal!!

No pics from this nastiness!
