Catching up!!

So many random, yet very special memories are below. I will try to caption each the best I can! But I don't want to leave any of these out of our GREAT year!!

Our DEAR, SWEET, DEDICATED, DEVOTED, DEPENDABLE, LOYAL PAPA agreed to put together the playset the kids got for Christmas. Against Jonathan's better judgement, he didn't hire a company to install it but rather called on the most industrious, handy-man he knows --- his DAD! Well, when I say this was a project, it was a PROJECT... with THOUSANDS of pieces. Before he could even start putting them together, he had to categorize the pieces in the order of installment. WOWZERS. I clearly have never been involved in such because I was always in awe of this task as it progressed. Thank goodness for Papa and yes, he did FINISH it. And we played on it today.:) We are thankful for him!

And... we here we are, just a SWINGIN!!

Another date with his sweet, sweet, SWEET girl!! I find it so special, beyond special, that Jonathan takes his only girl on dates. He tries to monthly. Her choice spot is Half Shell. And she will and does eat a dozen charbroiled and Orleans oysters plus fried shrimp and broccoli. Daddy gets none of her dozen oysters! I hope they continue these special dates as she gets older, and I know they will!

THIS BOY! A mess and a half. He is truly our "wild" child, and we couldn't love him more. When I say I could eat him up, I could!

Being silly with big brother!

A trip to visit Biloxi and see our sweet uncles and grandparents. Uncle Miles was in town from LA, CA.

A crew! Uncle Miles, Poppy, Uncle Jules, and us!

Hanging out at home with our sweet neighbors, the Wests!

Well, this is an unfortunate picture. This was taken at 3 am during a tornado warning, and we hunkered under our stairs for an hour. Luckily, the kids were so in zombie mode tired that they didn't put up much of a fight to rest. Jonathan always seems to be out of town for these warnings, which is NOT fun for me! In this instance, Les had stayed the night with Mamma and Papa thank goodness!

Church fun!! Mr. Scott is always so fun!!

Les was obviously having a blast here watching his sister and his "love" Vera!!

Silly boys under the table at church!

School days! Looks like Joseph was doing a little jig.;) We ABSOLUTELY love and can't get enough of Joseph's sweet teacher, Lily. She is AH-mazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cuties! Smart cuties!!

Look at this boy on the playground! He's such a DOLL!

Always mackin' on the ladies!

Joseph continuing to mack! He is something else. His teachers tell me he is either wrestling the boys or rubbing girls' backs. Should I already be worried?

Birthday girl gets an Elena outfit and matching one for her doll, Lea!!

We had our first "break" scare. Les flew off the playset but luckily this was just a sprain. We are a no broken bone house for the meantime! Fingers crossed.

My stud in an old pic!! I love him!!

Birthday party fun!!

Krewe of Athena... Mistress of Ceremonies!

After being a member of the Krewe of Athena for over 10 years, I decided to resign. It was very difficult for me to leave; some of my very best friends still live on the Coast and being involved in Mardi Gras was the only way to still be involved. But it was time, after kids and moving to Hattiesburg. BUT I got a call and was asked to MC the 40th anniversary of the Krewe by one of my very best friends and the Captain of the Krewe for the year, Rocquel. I reluctantly said yes but had a GREAT time and it was a lot more fun than I would have imagined. Jonathan coached me through the (30 pg) script several times and encouraged me to loosen up a bit. It worked! It was amazing! Glad that's OVER!

Rehearsal! The Officers of the Krewe of Athena and ME!:)

The first and second VP and I!

The Queen, Dina Cook!

My sweet friends from Hattiesburg came for the FUN! Brooke and Maurie!

My sweet cousin, Jacob!!

Les gets another Tiger Rock PROMOTION!!!

Les is truly rocking right along at his first "real" activity/sport of taekwondo! Often days, he says he doesn't want to go, yet, when we arrive and he gets kicking, he is all ready to give a big THUMBS UP through the window! We are very proud of him and all his efforts. This sport has given him more confidence and discipline, and for that, we are thankful! His teachers are very supportive and encouraging; the atmosphere is definitely geared for improving one's attitude and self-esteem. To Jonathan and me, it wasn't necessarily "karate" but any activity where Les is the focus!

They throw their old belts in the air after getting their new ones, similar to a graduation. It is SO PRECIOUS and special!! GO LES!!!

BELOW IS ANOTHER RECENT AWARDS CEREMONY! This boy is dominating Tiger Rock!
