YPO... Our First Family Trip! The Cloister at Sea Island, GA

We attended a fun event recently in Sea Island, GA for work for Jonathan... well semi-work. Jonathan has become a member of an amazing organization called YPO. I actually googled it and found the below, so the kiddos could read on this in the future to see what their super Daddy does...;)

The Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) is a global network of young chief executives with approximately 22,000 members in more than 125 countries. YPO aims to provide members with increased opportunities for success in the global marketplace by assisting them to form partnerships with other members all over the world.
Members of YPO are peers who share in common the achievement of success at an early age (before 45); a commitment to learning as a lifelong adventure; and a desire to connect authentically in an environment of trust and confidentiality. At the age of 50, members transition to YPO’s graduate group, WPO (World Presidents’ Organization). WPO is a global community within YPO of current and former chief executives dedicated to enriching each member’s lifelong journey of leadership, growth and significance through education and idea exchange. YPO was founded in 1950 near New York City by manufacturer Ray Hickok, who was 27 years old when he became the head of his family’s 300-employee company. The first meeting was held at the Waldorf Astoria and was attended by General Robert Johnson (Johnson & Johnson). Hickok and a small group of young presidents in the area began meeting regularly to share and learn from each other. This founding principle of education and idea exchange among peers still guides the organization today

The event in Sea Island was a family event, age requirement of 3 yrs old, so our sweet Ceci was able to join us. What a fun event! There were theme nights (Great Gatsy, camo, etc) among so many other activities and amazing, top of the line speakers from across the world. We look forward to many other YPO trips!

Lots of love, Lots of crazy!

These precious babies are growing up way.too.fast. The saying definitely holds true "the days are long but the years are short." As I type this and am way behind on posts, I realized that tomorrow is their first day of pre-K3 and pre-K4!! I can't believe next year Ceci will be in kindergarten! I really never thought that day would come. From her 3 lb, 5 oz arrival to a thriving little girl who is eager to learn and love, she never ceases to amaze me with her gentle words and sweet demeanor. I love her so. Les is my rascal. I couldn't love that little boy more if my life depended on it. He is absolutely precious. He loves to share thoughts about his day and LOVES LOVES LOVES to play with Daddy. Seriously, the second Daddy walks through the door, it's "come pay wit me Daddy. Pway wit me!! It is so sweet. And Jonathan of course obliges.

There are several memorable funnies or quotes to share and as the busyness gets in the way, I have struggled to capture them all but here are a few...

Joseph, our sweet #3, loves to smile, coo, talk... and spit up and pull hair. I knew I was in for it one day when I heard Ceci screaming bloody murder (I was trying to use the bathroom with lightening speed), and the revelation showed that Joseph pulled her hair and wouldn't let go. Terrorized now by not only Les but the baby boy, I can see I'm in for a treat with these sibling fights.

Les was eating chocolate pudding this week and decided to smear it all over his face then run around the house and say "hey, I eatin' dirt."

Both these sweeties love to show us things... whether it be drawings, colorings, toys, etc., they always preface the big "show and tell" with "I have something amazing to show you. Close your eyes!" I mean, seriously, how much cuter can that be?! Of course you have to close your eyes!

When we put Les down, his favorite new conversation starter is "let's talk about it...", which is normally followed by me asking "what do you want to talk about?" and his response is "my party!!" His birthday party is this weekend and he (we) could not be more excited about it. The theme is "Never Stop Exploring!!!" More pics to come...! Details are a surprise!

This is different... Joseph LOVES DAD. It's nuts. When the other two were babies of course they loved Dad but there wasn't an all out passion like baby J has for Dad. He seriously LIGHTS UP when Dad walks in the room... When he comes near J, J will twist and turn to be able to see Daddy.. and then the biggest smile EVER hits his face. It is truly the sweetest thing.

When the kiddos started school last year! Pre-K2 and Pre-K3!

Les being my silly man

Yep, mosquitoes. We hate them. Our man has a localized mosquito allergy. Poor baby. I hope he grows out of that like his Dad! Our kiddos have inherited a few allergy related issues from Dad!

LOVE!

Tummy time action!

My MAN! Looking as cute as ever!

Yes, those are nursing pads! Les is such a great helper and gets those for me after I feed Joseph. If it takes too long... well this is what happens.
