Every post I say I haven't been the best about blogging... but it's true! The gap between posts is longer, but I'm still trying to keep up. Our little man Les has totally taken off in language development over the past month or so. He turns TWO next month! Crazy.
Since he is really able to "communicate" now:), he is such a ham! His new favorite game (that his Daddy made up) is where he pushes your face and says "go do sweep (go to sleep)", you act like you are sleeping then he proceeds to pound you on the head or in the face and says "WAKE UP!" All of it is cute and fun except the part where he punches you in the face. Thanks, Dad, for creating this game!:)
Ceci and I have had many baby showers to attend lately, so Dad and Les have been big buds... they go to the pool and "spash pad (splash pad)." Les' favorite is to "stick face in water." We put the kids in swim lessons this summer, and Les seriously swam from the diving board to the ladder, kicking his arms and legs, with his face under the entire time (only child not crying in the pool on day 2). Ceci... well, she kicked mightily but really didn't go anywhere. Poor thing. Practice makes perfect!
Les is allergic (or semi) to mosquitos. If there is a mosquito in a 10 mi radius, it will find Les' head or face. Poor boy looks like a scene out of Rocky when he wakes up with his bites. Eyes are swollen. Dad had the same problem as a toddler.
When Les doesn't want me to leave his room at bed time after rocking him, he says "wub my back, Mommy, pwease." Preciousness.
Les loves The Wiggles, Barney and Finding Nemo. He loves to play with little matchbox cars. Everything's a Truck. Can't get enough. Ceci is full on into princesses. I guess our trip to Disney will have to be sooner than later.
Ceci is the cutest and keeps us in stitches too. We were saying our prayers last week ("Now I lay me down to sleep...") and when we got to the part of "if I should die before I wake...", she paused and looked at me with "WAIT, I don't wanna die!"
Everything is "totally" with Ceci. I'm "totally done." That is "totally awesome."
Every time Ceci is on the potty and wants off, she says "done, girl" to me in the cutest tone! I love it.
There is a picture the day Jonathan and I got married in the dining room and at dinner she always asks about it. "Is that the day y'all got married? Where was I? Do you like being married?" :) Most days.:):)
The kids constantly take off and make laps around the house... through the living room, kitchen and dining room. I love it because it wears them out!
They LOVE playing hide-n-seek with Daddy. They count REALLY fast and Les normally skips a few numbers in his haste, then they shout "ready not, here come!" They run around looking for him and he has to whistle at them so they can find him (usually behind the curtain or behind a door).
