Papa's Birthday Surprise!! & More!!

Papa's birthday was recently, so we surprised him at his office with a cake and hugs!! He was very surprised! Since this is essentially a baby book for the kids, I wanted to put a few things in here about their Papa...

His focus is in management policy and strategy, business strategy, strategic planning, entrepreneurship, and small business. He has published articles in several journals, including Business Horizons, Public Personnel Management, and the Journal of Psychology. He has served as a consultant to a number of businesses and regularly teaches for the MS Personnel Board. He has served on a number of University committees and was President of the USM Faculty Senate during 1997-98.

He's been involved in International Programs and Study Abroad for over 20 years. He conducted programs in France in the mid 1990's for three years, then began to work with the British Studies program in 2001 and was Business program coordinator until 2012. Then he began to work with the university's Japanese Study abroad program.

He has visited 22 countries and territories in his life of travels. In the order in which he first visited them, starting in 1970-2013 they are:

(1970's) Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Brazil, Mexico; (1990's) Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Slovakia; (2000's) England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden; (2010's) Italy, Luxembourg, Japan and China. And, last but not least, he also been to the 'Free State of Jones' in Mississippi and 'Acadiana' in Louisiana.:) Heehee.

What an AMAZING PAPA he is!! Blessed to have him in our lives!
